Playing with Shiba Inu (Shiba Inu no Sato)

You won't believe how loveable and friendly these dogs are!

Purebred Shiba Inu have been designated as a natural monument of Japan. This site lets you play with a huge pack of approx. 100 lovingly-raised Shiba Inu. Just seeing all of these friendly dogs is sure to warm your heart. Children can take a dog on a leash around the walking course, making this a popular destination for family vacations. Highly recommended if you are considering adopting your own Shiba Inu.

A gallant yet adorable breed

With a mixture of gallantry and cuteness that sets them apart, Shiba Inu may be the most recognizable Japanese dog breed. Their relatively wolf-like, powerful faces, triangular ears, and trademark curled tails lend them an unmistakable appearance.
Shiba Inu no Sato is the place to visit if you want to get a full experience of this highly appealing breed. The staff have prepared various options for your visit: a kennel visit course, where you can see puppies and fully-grown dogs living together; a puppy play course, where you can play with a puppy for 30 minutes; and a dog walk course, where you can walk a fully-grown dog for two kilometers. We recommended the dog walk course, as it also lets you look out on the five peaks of Aso. You can also consult with the staff about potentially adopting a puppy you've grown attached to.
