Trout Fishing

No equipment or reservations required! Try your hand at stream fishing in the great outdoors!

This activity combines the best parts of stream and pond fishing. Fish are released down a fast-flowing stream but are made so even first-timers can catch something. We provide all of the necessary equipment, so you don't need to bring anything. You can take home all of the fish you catch! There are facilities where you can prep your fish to eat, then have the restaurant cook it for you! There's nothing quite like eating fish you caught yourself.

Catching fish is fun and easy, even for first-timers!

The key appeal here is being able to just show up and fish. We're open from 7 am, so it's easy to show up early and fit a fishing session into almost any travel plan: whether you're just taking a day trip through Kumamoto, staying at ryokan in Aso, or camping overnight. Visitors can choose between a bait or fly lure and fish anywhere along an approx. 1-km length of stream. Even beginners or elementary school students can have a memorable time as they catch their first yamame, char, or rainbow trout. Fishing is popular with families and couples.
